Prague Václav Havel Airport transfers for cars and coaches
Václav Havel Airport is about 18 km from central Prague, 25-45 minutes by road. Car pickups are right outside the arrival halls; coaches then face a city centre they cannot enter.
Terminal 1 or Terminal 2: it depends where you flew from
Terminal 1 serves non-Schengen flights and Terminal 2 serves Schengen flights. A group flying from London lands at T1; one from Paris lands at T2. Groups on mixed routes should pick one hall to gather in and allow for the walk between them; passport control on the non-Schengen side can add time before anyone reaches the hall.

Car and van pickup directly outside arrivals
Car pick-up points are directly in front of the Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 arrival halls. Chauffeur cars and executive vans collect there. Airport dispatchers help at the hall exits and car meeting points 07:00-21:00, which helps on a first visit.
The coach meeting point is agreed before you land
The airport does not publish a coach stand for private groups. The operator agrees the exact coach location with you as part of the booking and states it in writing, so the group leader knows where to walk before anyone lands. If the group needs the visitor centre first, the Prague City Tourism Visitor Centre is in the Terminal 2 arrivals hall.
Prague's perimeter stands and why hotel drop-offs change
Coaches are banned from the historic centre unless an exception is granted. They set down and pick up at paid stands on the edge of the heritage zone: K+R stands allow 15 minutes, long-stay stands four hours, and all are charged 08:00-20:00 daily via parking meters. For the Castle the stops are Mariánské hradby and Dlabačov; for the Old Town, nábřeží Edvarda Beneše. A hotel in the Old Town or Malá Strana may be a short walk from the coach, so put luggage-light travellers on the coach and send the bags by van if needed.

Are stand charges added on the day?
No. The perimeter stands are metered 08:00-20:00, and the operator builds that into the quote along with distance and waiting time.
Is 15 minutes enough at a set-down stand?
For unloading a group, yes, if people are ready. For hotel check-in with bags, plan a long-stay stand or a separate luggage vehicle.
Can we go on to Dresden or Kutná Hora from the airport?
Yes. Kutná Hora is about 80 km from Prague and Dresden about 150 km. Driving-time rules apply on longer days.
