Munich airport transfers, chauffeur service and group transport
Munich keeps coach parking out of the Altstadtring entirely. Groups set down at five named drop-off zones, 20 minutes at most, and the coach waits outside.
Munich Airport: kerbside lanes and coach stops 21-22
Chauffeur cars use the terminal kerbside arrival lanes; at Terminal 2 the arrival lane is on Level 03 and departures on Level 04. Terminal forecourts allow a free ten-minute stop twice per day. Coaches use long-distance stops 21 and 22 beside Terminal 2; from T1 that is a 5-10 minute walk, worth warning a group with heavy luggage about. The city is about 38 km, 40-60 minutes.
The Altstadtring: drop-off inside, parking outside
Drop-off zones are Blumenstrasse, Frauenstrasse, Karl-Scharnagl-Ring, Maximiliansplatz and Oskar-von-Miller-Ring. For the Hofbräuhaus use Frauenstrasse or Karl-Scharnagl-Ring; for Viktualienmarkt, Blumenstrasse. A low emission zone inside the Mittlerer Ring bars high-emission vehicles.
Central coach parking: Hansastrasse 51 (about 40 buses), ZOB Arnulfstrasse and Olympiagelände. Long-stay: Fröttmaning and Messestadt-Ost P+R bus stations. The Deutsches Museum has coach parking at Erhardtstrasse 38.

Messe, Allianz Arena and the Wiesn
Messe München and ICM use coach parking at Messestadt-Ost P+R, and Messestadt Riem hotels put delegates next to the halls. Allianz Arena has its own coach parking. Oktoberfest runs 18 September to 3 October 2027 with no parking at Theresienwiese; Hansastrasse, near Heimeranplatz, charges a higher Oktoberfest rate and ZOB Arnulfstrasse is close but usually full. For a Wiesn evening, set the group down, send the coach to Hansastrasse, and agree a collection point away from the crowds.
Chauffeur service and the twice-a-day forecourt rule
The free ten-minute forecourt stop can be used twice per day. An executive car doing several airport runs in one day can exceed that, so agree with the operator where the car waits between arrivals. At about 38 km, the airport run is long enough that a delayed principal can push the next pick-up late.
Christmas markets and Alpine day trips
The Marienplatz Christkindlmarkt runs 20 November to 24 December 2026; coaches still set down at the Altstadtring zones. Neuschwanstein is 1.5-2 hours out, Salzburg in Austria 1.5-2 hours, Garmisch-Partenkirchen 1-1.5, Dachau 25-40 minutes. Salzburg crosses a border, so it runs with a journey form on board.
