Madrid airport transfers, chauffeur service and group transport
Madrid opened Distrito Centro to labelled tourist coaches in April 2026. The DGT environmental label now decides where a coach can go, starting with whether it can enter the city at all.
Barajas: five terminals, one coach station
Barajas runs T1, T2, T3, T4 and T4S. Aena lists a meeting point on Floor 0 of the T1 Arrivals Hall. The T4 bus station, with 30 docks, takes scheduled and private coaches; T1 has a bus parking area. Specify the terminal for every flight: a coach waiting at the T4 docks is no help to a group landing at T1. The centre is about 15 km, 20-45 minutes.
DGT labels: citywide ZBE and Distrito Centro
Vehicles without a DGT environmental label are banned citywide. Inside the Distrito Centro ZBEDEP, buses and coaches with CERO, ECO or C labels may enter, following Ordinance 2/2026, published in the BOCM on 6 April 2026. A coach with a B label is not on that list. Ask for the label on the quote.

SEA Madrid: 272 spaces, four time bands
SEA Madrid runs 272 municipal coach spaces in 5-minute, 15-minute, 2-hour and long-stay bands. Match the band to the stop: five minutes for a hotel set-down, two hours for the Prado. The Royal Palace and Plaza Mayor sit inside Distrito Centro.
IFEMA, Bernabéu and day trips
IFEMA Madrid is near Barajas, so Barajas/IFEMA hotels keep trade-fair shuttles short; delegates can land and reach the halls without crossing the city. Santiago Bernabéu and Riyadh Air Metropolitano handle match days. Hospitality groups at either ground should fix the return pick-up before the match, not after the whistle.
Toledo, Segovia and Ávila: day-trip timings
Toledo and Segovia are each 1-1.25 hours out, San Lorenzo de El Escorial 45-60 minutes and Ávila 1.25-1.5 hours. Pairing Segovia with Ávila or El Escorial is a full driving day; the 45-minute break after four and a half hours and the nine-hour daily cap both apply. Ask the operator to plan the stops so the break falls during a visit.
Questions
Is Toledo workable as a half-day?
At 1-1.25 hours each way, yes, if the visit is kept tight. Add a lunch and it becomes a full day.
Can a coach set down near Puerta del Sol?
Inside Distrito Centro, only with a CERO, ECO or C label. Check the label before planning a central set-down.
Which Barajas terminal do coaches use?
The T4 bus station takes private coaches; T1 has its own bus parking area.
How long can a coach park near the Prado?
