Copenhagen cruise port transfers: Oceankaj, Langelinie, Nordre Toldbod

Copenhagen has three cruise berths, and they differ more than the map suggests. Oceankaj handles the large ships and has a proper car park; the city-side quays have very little space.

Which berth, and what space it offers

Oceankaj (Ocean Quay) in Nordhavn is the largest berth, about 1,100 m of quay, with the P-plads Oceanvej car park of 242 spaces. Langelinie (quays 192-198) and Nordre Toldbod (quay 177, ships up to 200 m) have limited, short-term parking only. At the city-side quays, the coach should arrive close to the collection time rather than wait.

By public transport Oceankaj is about 30 minutes from the centre and 40 from the airport, a slow option for a group with luggage.

Kastrup to the ship

Kastrup lies 15 to 20 km from the berths, 25 to 40 minutes by road. All arrivals leave through a single hall in Terminal 3, so one greeting point covers a group spread across flights, and the vehicle loads on that terminal's forecourt.

The environmental zone and evening parking

Diesel buses in the Copenhagen and Frederiksberg environmental zone need Euro VI or a particle filter, with camera enforcement and no exemption for foreign plates. Overnight, from 19:00 to 07:00, a bus can park only on a signed heavy-vehicle space. That matters for a late disembarkation dinner or a coach staged overnight before an early embarkation.

A city morning before sailing

Tivoli, Nyhavn and the Little Mermaid on the Langelinie waterfront fit into a morning before embarkation. Keep luggage in the vehicle and finish at the berth, bearing in mind that the coach cannot linger at Langelinie or Nordre Toldbod. For a longer turnaround, Kronborg Castle at Helsingør is about 45 km away.
